Scan a bag in a few shots
Scan on Add a bag takes a few photos of the label and fills in the details as it reads them.
- Each photo adds what it can read. A green chip shows how many details were found.
- Pink chips name what is still missing, such as Name or Roast level, so you know what to photograph next.
- Zoom switches between 0.5x, 1x, and 2x for small print on the label.
- Tap the check to keep what was read and fill in the rest by hand.
- The label photos are deleted once they are read. A photo added on Manual is only attached to the bag.
The bag page is easier to read
A bag's details now sit in three groups: Your bag, Freshness, and The coffee.
- Remaining is a bar that shows how much of the bag is left.
- Freshness puts the status first, then the timeline, roast date, storage, and the day you opened it.
- Whole bean or pre-ground is now labeled Grind size.
- A blend can list up to three processes, and brew advice counts all of them.
- Brew recommendations look the same as on a variety page, with a photo for each method.
More of your coffees are recognized
Fifteen more varieties are in the catalog, including Arara, so more bags show a variety profile.
- Brazilian varieties like Arara and Tupi, and Ethiopian selections like 74110, have their own pages.
- Names work typed without accents, so Catigua finds Catiguá.
- Wet-hulled is its own process, for the earthy Indonesian bags that used to land on Other.
- Brew advice suggests a slightly coarser grind for wet-hulled coffee.
Back goes one step back when setting up a brew
When you set up a brew, Back now returns to the step before instead of Home.
- From a recipe, Back returns to Set up your brew, so you can pick another method, bag, or grinder.
- From a recipe you chose under More recipes, Back returns to that list.
